Our region is known for its powerful, hard-fighting predator fish. Expect a real thrill! There is a wide range of species we fish in our area. We target the finest specimens: threadfin, red snapper, tarpon, jack, cobia, grouper, weakfish, meagre and more…

During this all-inclusive fishing stay you will get to fish with soft lures, madai jigs, jigging and surface lures. Also a good share of live-bait fishing, drifting or at anchor. Slow trolling. Bottom fishing or handline fishing.

We provide all the gear you need for your fishing stay. Rods, reels and weights are waiting for you on site (bring only small consumables). No need to weigh yourself down with extra luggage. Of course you are welcome to bring your own gear for extra “comfort” if you prefer. But do not bring weights — we mould our own on site!

You can fish year-round in Senegal, but it is best to avoid August and September because of the rains.
As for the best fishing periods: May, June and July are good, then after the rainy season, October, November and December are very good.
These six months are the best mainly due to weather conditions — winds are generally lighter, which lets us use lure-fishing techniques that give the best results when drifts are not disrupted by wind.
For good results early in the year, up to the end of March, it is best to favour rising-coefficient tides. Get in touch if you need tide times and moon-phase information.

Typical schedule for a day’s fishing in Senegal:

• Early start for the jetty
• Fishing in the mangrove or at sea (technique adapted to conditions)
• Convivial picnic lunch
• Return to the hotel around 4pm for relaxation and sharing stories

We are equipped with 3 open-hull Yamaha-powered boats. They measure 7 metres and are fitted with 40hp and 75hp Yamaha Enduro engines. The boats have live wells. Maximum capacity per boat is 4 people.

We fish at sea as well as in the mangrove. In bad weather or if you get seasick, outings will be in the mangrove only. The mangrove is a sheltered environment with calm waters, like a lake or river. But the fish that live there are genuine coastal sea fish!

It depends on local regulations and the species. Our guides will let you know on site what is possible. But do not worry — you will have plenty of chances to enjoy most of your catch in our restaurant!

We actively promote responsible fishing, with catch-and-release practices and respect for local quotas.

Of course! We offer activities for non-fishing companions. Companions can join guided discovery excursions we organise. For relaxing, the beach is 50 metres from the rooms… Check our excursions page for the different options available.

Pack light clothing, sun protection, sunglasses and a hat. A few consumables such as hooks, swivels, etc. (a short list will be sent to you before departure so you are well equipped for your all-inclusive fishing stay). Everything else is provided!

No, there are no fixed dates for booking a stay. We adapt to each person’s availability and to what is possible for finding a flight.

We have 11 rooms with a total capacity of 25 people.

There are several ways to reach us from Europe.
– Take a direct flight from Brussels or Barcelona to Banjul airport. Banjul airport is 70 km from our hotel. It is the shortest route and often the most affordable. No visa or vaccination required for this destination!
– Take a flight from Paris or Marseille with Air Sénégal, with a connection to Ziguinchor. The trip can be done in a day, since flights leave France at 09:00 and arrive in Dakar at 13:00. The airline arranges the connecting domestic flight at 16:30. We take care of picking you up at Ziguinchor airport for your transfer to the hotel.
– Take a flight from a regional airport to Dakar, then a connection to Ziguinchor. The domestic flight takes 40 minutes. We can arrange the domestic flight booking for you. These flights often arrive at night, so you will need to wait for the 08:00 domestic flight to reach Casamance.
– Take a flight to Dakar, then the ferry connection to Ziguinchor. See our article on this travel option.
– Take a flight to Dakar then a taxi to our hotel. Car rentals are available from Dakar airport.

No, we cannot sell you plane tickets. We are not a travel agency and do not have access to booking databases. However, we can help you choose your flight and put you in touch with a travel agency in Senegal for a flight between Dakar and Ziguinchor.

Yes, we take care of picking you up from Banjul, Ziguinchor or Cap Skirring airports. This service is included in the stay rate. A surcharge applies for Cap Skirring airport.

For booking conditions, we ask for a 30% deposit when booking (once you have bought your plane tickets). The balance is due before the stay begins, or on site on the day you arrive at the hotel. Payments can be made by bank transfer, by card via PayPal, or in cash on site.

You will stay in single or double rooms, as you prefer. Stays are on an All Inclusive basis — that means rooms, meals and drinks at the bar.

Yes, vegetarian menus can be arranged! Do not hesitate to let us know!

No, the tap water is not safe to drink. Bottled mineral water is available on site.

It is very easy to exchange euros on site with shopkeepers in the village. However, there is no cash machine. You will need to bring enough cash for your stay.

There are no longer any mandatory vaccinations for Senegal or Gambia. As for malaria prevention, sleeping under a mosquito net is the best protection! Anti-malaria treatments can cause side effects — check the leaflet…

A passport valid for 6 months after your return date is required. We take care of local fishing permits.
